We are back! My name is Quincy and I will be the voice behind this blog post regarding the decision of having a first look on your wedding day. Many couples have a hard time making this decision and I thought we could hopefully make it a little easier. There are pros and cons of a first look that some may not realize, and a couple of things you need to consider.
One large part of an event is the design, and that really begins with the invitations and setting a theme for the event. Paper products are a way to incorporate a subtle theme throughout while still leaving the creativity open in other aspects of the design. When talking design with a couple, the focus is on getting their overall preference and style, then creating the paper products that go along with their style making it unique to the couple.
A new venture that we have taken on this summer is providing the day of coordination for all events at the McKay Ballroom. In addition to our busy summer schedule with All Buttoned Up weddings, we have loved spending some of our weekends at McKay. We are working with Nicole, The Venue Coordinator, and she has been amazing as we learn all about how to best represent the venue!
Earlier this month, our team got the chance to work with some amazing vendors during a styled shoot on the shores of Lake Michigan. We were so lucky to have gorgeous weather for this shoot on an early Monday morning at the beach. I’m talking sunny skies, barely any wind, and not too warm! We could not have asked for better weather.
With our busy season starting, we have decided to start up the blog again to show you all the fun things that we have going on here at All Buttoned Up Events! I am McKenzie, and I will be the voice behind the blog this summer. To share a little bit more about me, I joined the All Buttoned Up team in February as a planner, specializing in events at The Ballroom at McKay, after graduating from Grand Valley State University in December with a Bachelors in Hospitality
