My husband and I didn't have time to call vendors and make a lot of in-person visits. Kelly and Alaina did all of this for us and made sure we only attended meetings that were critical. Kelly honestly created the perfect wedding day for me and my husband. She totally got the look and feeling of the day I was hoping for and went above and beyond what I could have done by myself. I had rented a venue that is bare bones (no tables/chairs, dishes, food, etc.) and she helped me make sure every detail, big and small, was coordinated. She helped ease my stress leading up to the wedding and handled my questions and concerns quickly and perfectly. When the wedding came I couldn't help but feel she created a wedding meant for a magazine or Pinterest. We live in Australia but were married in Michigan at my parents home on Aug 15 2015. We invited Swedes, Scotts, New Yorkers and a crazy bunch of Aussies. Our wedding was more than an opportunity to express our love to one another— it was a chance to share it with our friends from around the world.
However planning a wedding from 9000+ miles away with a 14 hour time difference was not going to be easy. My mom met with Kelly of All Buttoned Up Events and knew immediately she was the one. Within a day I’d received a beautiful email introducing herself to Ben & I. She said she’s aware of the difficult time difference but she’s literally ALWAYS available. And she was. No detail was left undiscussed. We emailed and Skyped multiple times a week for months. Her connections to vendors along with her time management and people management we’re what moved us smoothly towards the big day. She offered incredible advice— accepted our ideas— and did it all with a cool calm that was contagious.
The day came quickly, and like all weddings we had a few unexpected elements to battle. First, it was record heat. Kelly was behind the scenes tending to my over heated grandparents, running fans to guests, and storing food on ice. Ben, myself, and our guests never saw that panic. It was her quick responses and knowledge of what's priority that made our wedding everything we’d hope for and more. We have received feedback from guests saying it was the most beautiful wedding they’d been to.
Its important to note that I’d missed cake testings, dress fittings with family, florist meetings, tent shopping and property walk throughs because of our unique situation. However, I trusted Kelly with all of these moments and she came through on each and every request. She was one of the best decisions we’d made— second only to saying “yes” to one another. I have and I will continue to recommend All Buttoned Up Events to friends. Words cannot begin to describe how perfect our day was due to Kelly and Team. As a Production Manager by trade, I take being organized pretty seriously. Kelly was organized to a tee, and she was able to communicate effectively with all of our vendors and our guests. This rarely happens in any event, but not a single thing went wrong.
We had people coming up to us after the event mentioning how on-time, and organized everything was, and they had never been to a wedding as nice. Kelly took the dream I communicated to her and put it all together in the most stunning way. Kelly was a dream-come-true! I am very organized and was looking forward to wedding planning, but when my husband and I decided to have an outdoor ceremony and reception, I was worried I wouldn't be able to coordinate everything. Kelly was exactly what I needed, and I will recommend a wedding coordinator to ANY bride planning an outdoor wedding.
