Victoria and Stephen’s wedding day felt like one long, heartfelt embrace. Every moment reflected their kindness and the deep love shared between them, their family, and their friends. Their genuine thoughtfulness for others shines through in everything they do, and it’s this joy for life—and for each other—that made them such an incredible couple to work alongside.
Their ceremony took place in the English Perennial Gardens at Frederik Meijer Gardens, a space rich with meaning for their family. On a warm summer day, we found creative ways to keep guests comfortable—cooling stations and elegant parasols helped everyone enjoy the beauty of the setting. With the Lena Meijer Conservatories rising gracefully in the background and stunning florals by @Sycamoredesignco, the scene was truly picture-perfect as our couple exchanged their vows.
Frederik Meijer Gardens will always hold a special place in my heart—it’s where my event planning journey began. To return and reimagine these spaces, crafting something entirely unique to each couple, is such a gift.
The reception was a celebration of timeless elegance—a year defined by white and green, with subtle touches of soft blue during cocktail hour for a gentle pop of color. We played with pattern and texture throughout the reception design, bringing in the couple’s signature motif from their stationery suite to inspire a custom seating chart and cohesive design elements. The ceremony florals were thoughtfully repurposed, creating a seamless flow from day to evening.
Every table was a work of art, and the room radiated magic. Guests danced, laughed, and celebrated late into the night—a joyful reflection of Victoria and Stephen’s love story and the warmth they bring to everyone around them.
