Garden Inspired Downtown Market Grand Rapids Wedding | Lauren + Seth

We are so excited to be sharing all of the details that made Lauren and Seth’s gorgeous Downtown Market Grand Rapids wedding so memorable. As one of our favorite venues in the area, we are always excited to be working at the Downtown Market and bringing a different vision to the space to fit the style for each of our couples.

Lauren and Seth had dreamed of a garden inspired wedding, and I think that we definitely made that happen for them! Originally, they wanted their entire event to take place in the greenhouse, but due to their guest count and capacity of the greenhouse, the dinner portion took place in the banquet room. But with the help of Shelly’s Floral Designs, we were able to achieve the garden look in the banquet room with greenery covering and meticulously wrapped around wooden canopy structures brought in from ICandy and lush floral for centerpieces. To finish the night, guests could head back into the greenhouse for dessert and dancing!

And in the greenhouse, we added tons of floral with the large arbor backdrop for the ceremony and the lush floral centerpieces that were moved to the reception tables after lining the aisle for the ceremony.

Lauren’s bountiful bouquet was another element that brought floral and greenery into every photo.

Another show stopping piece was the arbor that was used for the ceremony then moved to showcase the dessert at the reception. This piece housed two large floral pieces on either side that were the perfect backdrop for the ceremony.

A unique element to their wedding was the transportation that they used before their ceremony. Lauren and her parents arrived to the venue in a horse drawn carriage from Classic Carriage. Then, the newlywed couple was whisked away after their ceremony for some gorgeous photos. It was right out of a fairy tale!

Soft seating is a great way to bring texture and variety into a space while providing another spot for guests to congregate and enjoy your wedding.

Built right into the timeline was a post ceremony stop at Butcher’s Union, a special place to the couple, that they got to experience on the most special of days with their favorite people.
