This stunning lakeside wedding took place in May on a private property in Holland overlooking Lake Michigan. S+M had the perfect space for a ceremony and reception with a flip for a late night afterparty. This black and white elegant design left guests wowed and remembering this lakeside wedding for years to come. 

We lucked out with a gorgeous spring day, which for Michigan weather you never quite know what you will get. A tented ceremony with clear top ceiling, ghost chairs, lovely floral arrangements, and our favorite element – the circle stage. We wanted it to be modern, elegant and let the views of the big lake speak for themselves. 

After the ceremony, guests were invited onto the cobblestone patio for cocktail hour to socialize. Here we emphasized the circle aspect by incorporating a circle bar for the guests to mingle around.  

Upon entering the reception tent, guests were able to find their seat on this custom seating chart featuring a neon sign and cascading floral arrangement.

The reception tent was filled with statement long tables down the center and booth style seating with square tables flanking the sides. The guests were wowed by gorgeous linens, floral, carefully selected place settings and paper goods all while dining under hundreds of twinkling lights. To further enhance the lush, romantic atmosphere, rich floral arrangements adorned by plenty of candles filled the tables.

Black silverware, a white napkin with black trim, and clear chargers with a black rim all played into the classic black and white design of this wedding. We love how it all came together in the end! 

For the sweetheart table we wanted to incorporate our circle aspect as well as a gorgeous floral arrangement that seemed as it was almost growing out of the ground and onto the table. 

A custom monogram was design and incorporated into all paper goods and then into the dance floor and bars to truly exude the custom look.

Later that night, once the reception had winded down, the ceremony tent was flipped into the after party site with color, sequins, disco lists and a whole lotta fun!
