This gorgeous and intimate backyard wedding brought to you by a pandemic did not disappoint. Megan and Marc just so happened to have a quaint backyard the perfect size for their ceremony and reception. When their original dreams for a wedding at High Five GR fell through, we fully switched gears and created a backyard wedding plan and design that we knew they would love.
We love a circle style ceremony and pitch the idea to our couples any chance we get. It allowed all of their guests a great view and made the best use of the space in their backyard next to a sweeping white sail cloth tent. A gorgeous floral installment curved around the couple in the middle.
Welcoming the guests into the ceremony was a glass of champagne on this beautiful display and a super fun beverage trailer.
When creating the design for Megan and Marc’s wedding, Megan was inspired by Hillary Duff’s small pink peony bouquet, and she was determined to achieve the same look with her bridal bouquet. We were able to fulfill her bouquet dreams with perfect pink peonies. The classic look paired beautifully with Megan’s timeless bridal gown.
The bridesmaids carried a unique color blocked bouquet with varying colors from white and pink, to orange. These whimsical bouquets looked fantastic next to Megan’s solid pink bouquet.
Marc wore this fun bowtie! And groomsmen wore a deep terracotta bowtie. No one was afraid of color at this wedding!
The reception tent was filled with long farmhouse tables and cross-back chairs. The blank wood canvas left a lot of room for color, and Shelly from Shelly’s Designs Florist went all out in the peach, orange, and terracotta tones. She even incorporated fruit into the centerpieces which paired so well with the peaches that we used as the place cards. White taper candles were a great addition to balance the design.
One of my favorite design elements from this wedding was the inverted roses that served as the backdrop for the couple at the head table. It turned out better than we could have imagined and made for some amazing photos.
These place cards were so fun for us! A peach was placed at each place setting with a leather ‘stem’ with gold calligraphy which served as the place card for every guest to find their seat. The peach tied into the orange and terracotta tones that were used in the centerpieces and really popped on this crisp white plate. We went and searched for the 100 most perfect peaches to achieve a unique but uniform look!
With all the color we had been embracing with floral, we went with modern black and white paper products.
And we certainly couldn’t forget about their fur babies! We had custom bar signs made of their dogs and had signature cocktails named after them.
We love when our couples choose Nothing Bundt Cakes for dessert. Such a pretty display, and even more delicious!
Megan even had a dress change during the event!
A fun sparkler send off ended the night!
